Her knowledge of the real estate biz has helped her lead a successful career in New Jersey and Delaware. But it is her lifelong pastime of sewing that’s about to bring her more recognition.

The Indian River Variety Show came out with a bang last weekend, as 35 acts consisting of more than 50 students put on their best performances Friday and Saturday nights. The annual performance, headed by the school’s band and chorus director, Mark Marvel, uses money from ticket and food sales to benefit the music department at the school.

On Good Friday, March 21, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce and Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation will once again sponsor what has become one of the state’s most recognized and beloved celebrations, the Great Delaware Kite Festival. The event, set to kick off at 10 a.m.

This Saturday, Ocean City, Md., will spread the luck and cheer of the Irish in a tradition that has flourished for nearly three decades, coaxing thousands upon thousands of followers to celebrate one of the Eastern Shore’s most prized festivities.
