Goodman, arrested on rape charges involving a 17-year-old female student at the high school, was being held this week on $331,000 cash-only bail. Following the past week’s events, the regularly scheduled Indian River School Board meeting on Tuesday, May 6, had another topic for board members to consider in their executive session: Who would be named the acting praincipal of Sussex Central?

Wood, Mitchell sworn in Ocean View

Ocean View swore in its new mayor and councilman on Wednesday night, during the town’s annual council reorganizational meeting. Outgoing Mayor Gary Meredith oversaw the swearing in of incoming Councilman Perry Mitchell, who replaced outgoing Councilman Norman Amendt, and then handed over the gavel to a freshly sworn-in Mayor Gordon Wood.

Gas station supporters demand to be heard
