Natalie S. Alloway, 82, of Long Neck, Del., formerly of Blackwood, N.J., passed away at her home on Saturday, May 3, 2008. She was an office manager for South Jersey Medical Associates in Cherry Hill, N.J., retiring after 20 years of service. She loved cooking, painting and was an avid reader. She was a member of the 9-Holers at the Sussex Pines Golf Course in Georgetown, Del.

John Breckenridge, 73

John Breckenridge, 73, of Selbyville, Del., formerly of Woodlyn, Pa., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del. He had been a postal carrier with the United States Postal Service, retiring after 29 years of service. He was a member of AARP and was an avid coin and stamp collector.

James E. Holleran, 81

James E. Holleran, 81, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Levittown, Pa., passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008, in the Renaissance Health Care Center, Long Neck, Del., while recuperating from heart bypass surgery. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He later moved to Philadelphia, Pa., to work in the music profession, playing the tuba in many area bands and orchestras.

Catherine Hudson Magee, 79

Catherine Hudson Magee, 79, of Dagsboro, Del., formerly a longtime resident of Frankford, Del., passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, at her home in Point Farm. She tended chickens for many years. Her favorite hobbies were flounder fishing, playing cards and arguing. Later in life, she loved watching John Wayne movies.

Ralph C. Morris, 70

Ralph C. Morris, 70, of Lewes, Del., passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 1, 2008, at home, with his loving family by his side. He was a farmer, working for Townsend’s for many years and was also a carpenter, self-employed as well as working for area contractors. He had previously attended the Israel United Methodist Church in Lewes.

Joan A. Peake, 67

Joan A. Peake, 67, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of Ft. Washington, Md., passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. She was a lifetime member of VFW Post #7234 at Quillen’s Point in Ocean View, as well as a member of the Elks Club and Moose Lodge. She enjoyed people and loved socializing with her friends.

Harrison Posey, 88

Harrison Posey, 88, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Boothwyn, Pa., passed away Wednesday, April 30, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del. He was employed at Sun Oil Co. in Marcus Hook, Pa., for over 30 years, retiring in management. He was a United States Navy veteran, serving in World War II. He was a member of St. George’s Chapel, Harbeson, Del.

Ormil ‘Doc’ Savage Sr., 82

Ormil “Doc” Savage Sr., 82, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at his home. While serving with the United States Marine Corps during World War II, he was wounded at Guadalcanal and was a Purple Heart recipient. He attended the Bay Shore Community Church in Gumboro, Del.

Helen Davis Weldie, 89

Helen Davis Weldie, 89, of Long Neck, Del., formerly of Wilmington, Del., passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2008, at the Harbor Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center in Lewes. She was a graduate of Salisbury State University in Salisbury, Md., and played on their basketball team. She was an elementary school teacher in the Wilmington area for 39 years.

Thomas James Wright, 76

Thomas James Wright, 76, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of Baltimore, Md., passed away Thursday, May 1, 2008, in Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del. He was a tow truck driver for Ruxton Towing for many years. He loved camping, crabbing and model-building.

Walter H. Bunting, 86

Walter H. Bunting, 86, of Bishopville, Md., passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Md. He was a farmer, and owned and operated Bunting & Bertrand in Frankford, Del., for 38 years. He was a member of Zion United Methodist Church in Bishopville and was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

Ronald G. Crockett, 64

Ronald G. Crockett, 64, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of the New Castle, Del. area, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 27, 2008. He served with the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He worked with John J. Crockett & Sons Subcontracting Company for many years and most recently he worked for the State of Delaware as a trade mechanic at the Stockley Center in Georgetown.

Pearl Mae Davis, 92

Pearl Mae Davis, 92, of Hartly, Del., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, at Kent General Hospital in Dover, Del. A homemaker, she loved to cook, loved Emeril Lagasse recipes, loved to laugh and dance. She was a very happy person who will be greatly missed. She lived for her grandkids and had the cleanest house ever kept.

Katherine Rolph Ebner, 86, of Ocean View, formerly of the Washington, D.C., area, passed away Friday, April 11, 2008, at Atlantic General Hospital, Berlin, Md. She had been an elementary school teacher.

Ellwood Frey, 78, of Millsboro, Del., formerly of the Washington, D.C., area, passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at the Renaissance Health Care Center, Long Neck, Del. He was a member for 54 years of the Carpenters/Joiners Union Local 132 in Washington, D.C.

Marsha L. Hale, 63, of Lewes, Del., formerly of Wilmington, Del., passed away Saturday, April 26, 2008, at her sister’s home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the medical records supervisor at Christiana Hospital in Wilmington, retiring after 38 years of service. She enjoyed boating, fishing, reading, watching sci-fi movies and loved to shop.

Gerasimos D. “Jerry” “Papou” Moutzalias, 93, of Ocean View, Del., formerly of Silver Spring, Md., passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. He was a retired restaurant operator and a longtime member of the parish council at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church in Ocean City, Md.

Nathan R. “Dick” Perry Jr., 76, of Ocean City, Md., formerly of Silver Spring, Md., passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, Md. He was an electrical engineer and project head for Vitro Laboratories in Silver Spring, where he had worked for more than 30 years. He was a member of the Ocean City Elks Lodge and the Ocean Pines Golf Club.

Donald Lee “Duck” Robinson, 56, of Georgetown, Del., passed away Monday, April 28, 2008, at home. He was a retired equipment operator. He attended Bethesda United Methodist Church in Georgetown. A devoted husband and father, his grandchildren were the light of his life. He enjoyed racing, NASCAR and local stock car tracks. He enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Florida.

William Emory Vickers, 75

William Emory Vickers, 75, of Frankford, Del., passed away after a long illness on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the Atlantic Shores Rehabilitation Health Center, Millsboro, Del. He worked in delivery for the Pep-Up Oil Company for more than 29 years. He was an active member for many years of the Dagsboro Church of God, Dagsboro, Del., and he really enjoyed the fellowship within the church.

Edward G. Tuckmantel, 76, of Selbyville, Del., formerly of Newark, Del., passed away Monday, April 21, 2008, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes, Del. He was a supervisor of the Graphic Design Group at DuPont Co., Louviers Site, retiring after 41 years with the company. He had attended the Philadelphia College of Art. He was a member and past president of Swann Estates Homeowners Association.

Claudine Estella Nagle Price, 80, of Ocean View, Del., passed away Friday, April 18, 2008, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She had worked in secretarial positions over the years and also operated a craft store with her daughter in Westminster, Md.

Edward A. Paris, 79, of North Carolina, formerly of Millville, Del., passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Lake Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Indian Trail, N.C. He was a devoted husband and father, always offering a helping hand, whether as Little League coach, scout leader or stage hand for numerous dance recitals and plays.

Helen Louise Croom, 77, of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes, Del. She worked at Acme Poultry Plant for many years. She was a member of the Bethel Holy Temple in Philadelphia. She loved cooking, fishing and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Richard ‘Dick’ Lamb Peters, 79

Richard “Dick” Lamb Peters, 79, passed away of lung cancer on Saturday, April 12, 2008, at his home in Ocean View, Del. Born and educated in Washington, D.C., he served as a lieutenant in the United States Navy, was an electrical engineer, an attorney and the owner of Lamb Seal & Stencil Inc.
