Barry R. Hickman, 61, of Frankford, Del., passed away Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008, at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He was a DUI hearing officer for the Delaware Motor Vehicle Department in Georgetown, retiring after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. George’s United Methodist Church in Clarksville and a member of the Delaware Masonic Lodge #37. He was an avid fan of NASCAR, the Chicago Bears and Delaware football.
Hickman is survived by his wife of 38 years, Paulette Dickerson Hickman; his mother and step-father, Jean and Bob Wells; a son, Mark R. Hickman and his wife Jaclyn; a daughter, Beth R. Hickman; a brother, John Hickman and his wife Dawn; step-sisters, Drucilla Wells and Beverly Mitchell and her husband Don; step-brother, Kendall Warrington and his wife Diane. He was also expecting his first grandchild.
A funeral service was scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11, 2008, with interment in Prince George’s Cemetery in Dagsboro.
