March 13

VOTF meets — The Coastal Delmarva Chapter of Voice of the Faithful will host a Lenten Morning of Reflection on Reconciliation and Forgiveness at Ocean View Presbyterian Church from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be prayer, music and discussion, and will conclude with lunch.   • Bethany history — The Bethany Beach Museum, located in the lobby of town hall, will be closed on weekends until spring of 2006. At that time, new exhibits will have been added to those already on display. However, as town hall is open Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., all are invited to participate in a self-guided “Walk Through History” tour throughout the year.
  • Red Hats tea — The CHEER Coastal Leisure Center is hosting a monthly Red Hat Afternoon Tea on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 1 p.m. All area Red Hat chapters are invited. The cost is $5. To register, call 539-2671.

  • Tai Chi — The CHEER Community Center, in Georgetown, is offering Tai Chi courses every Thursday, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Thomas Johnson, a certified personal trainer and martial arts instructor, will direct the classes that will provide an exercise that emphasizes relaxation and tranquility.   • Soup kitchen — Community Lutheran Church is establishing a soup kitchen at the church fellowship hall.
