Lula A. Bradford, 96, of Whaleyville, Md., passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at home. She was a very loving mother who cherished her family and will be greatly missed. A member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church in Whaleyville, she loved to garden and always had a pocket full of hard candy to give out to friends.
Bradford was preceded in death by her parents, George and Minnie Belle Wells; and her husband of 51 years, Elwood Bradford. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Wyles and her husband Howard of Whaleyville; a brother, Ray Wells of Frankford, Del.; a sister, Myrtle Hudson of Selbyville, Del.; grandchildren, Lisa Rollins and her husband Todd, Jason Wyles and fiancée Tracy; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Rollins.
Funeral services were scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2008, with interment in Redman’s Cemetery in Selbyville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions may be made to Coastal Hospice, 2605 Old Ocean City Road, Salisbury, MD 21804.
