Paul B. Morin, 77

Paul B. Morin, 77, of Clarksville, Del., went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2008. Born in Massachusetts, he enlisted in the U.S. Army at the age of 17 and was trained to be a paratrooper and engineer, serving in the Korean War. He established Morin’s Floor and Wall Covering in Bethany Beach in 1961, and it is still in operation today in Ocean View.

Morin was a member of St. George’s United Methodist Church in Clarksville, where he had served as the head usher and Sunday School superintendent. He was also past master of Grand Lodge No. 37 in Dagsboro, an honorary member of the Ocean View Lodge, a life member of the VFW and the past president of the Flying Farmers of Delmarva. He loved his family and friends and said he hoped everyone will join him someday with the Lord.

Morin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Barbara Jean Morin; two children, Paula Morin Hudson, and her husband, Kenny; and Barry Guy Morin, and his wife, Lynn; seven grandchildren, Sheldon, Devin, Leslie, Nathan, Brenna, Tyler and Jennie; and two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Jay.

Services were scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, with interment in St. George’s Cemetery in Clarksville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to St. George’s United Methodist Church, 34281 Omar Rd., Frankford, DE 19945; or Alzheimer’s Association, 109 Bedford St., Georgetown, DE 19947.
