Robert J. Bryant, 65, of Clarksville, Del., passed away Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, at Beebe Medical Center in Lewes. He worked as a carpenter for Hugh H. Hickman & Sons, retiring after 29 years of service.
Bryant was preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia (Cranfield) Bryant; his son, Robert J. Bryant Jr.; and a brother, William Lee Bryant Jr. He is survived by his loving wife, Vivian (Tingle) Bryant; two brothers, Daniel L. and John R. Bryant; and two sisters, Suzanne V. Bryant and Barbara L. DeNight.
A funeral service was scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 14, 2008, with interment in St. George’s Cemetery in Clarksville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Tunnell Cancer Center, 18941 John J. Williams Hwy., Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971; or Dagsboro Church of God, 32224 DuPont Blvd., Dagsboro, DE 19939.
